Anti-wrinkle Injections
Be yourself, wrinkle-free
Every facial expression you make has the potential to develop into a wrinkle. But because you cannot – and would not want to – stop your face expressing your emotions, you can end up with permanent lines.
Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to lessen or erase frown lines, crow’s feet and other wrinkles by blocking the overactivity of the muscles that cause them. A natural substance, injected in very small doses directly into the muscle that controls the wrinkle, blocks its activity and as a result you look more relaxed, refreshed and less worried.
The serum needs to be injected every three to six months, but as the duration of treatment benefits increase over time, fewer treatments are usually required as time passes.
Considering Anti-wrinkle Injections?
There are some common questions that many people who are considering anti-wrinkle injections ask, such as:
Anyone with lines and wrinkles around the eyes between the eyebrows or on the forehead is a candidate for anti-wrinkle injections.
This is a very safe procedure, but just to be sure you should avoid anti-wrinkle injections if you are pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Using a tiny needle, a very small amount of serum is injected into the areas of wrinkles. Because the needle is so fine and only a small amount of liquid is used, the discomfort associated with the injections is minimal. Most patients compare the sensation to a bug bite. No sedation or local anaesthetic is needed.
Anti-wrinkle injections are a fast and simple procedure, performed in Dr Hunt’s office. Each session lasts about 10 minutes.
You can leave immediately after the procedure. You can even drive yourself home or back to the office.
Will I have to return for post-operative care?
There is no need to return for follow-up after the procedure.
You should move the treated muscles frequently and not lie flat on your back for four hours.
You don’t need to take any time off work at all. In fact, you can have the procedure done during your lunch break.
When can I resume my normal activities?
You may resume your normal activities immediately.
There may be some redness at the injection site but this will disappear within hours.
When will I see the end result?
The final effect will be seen 3 days after the procedure.
Given its unique mechanism of action, the anti-wrinkle injection serum offers sustained benefits, dose after dose, over the course of long-term treatment. Your first treatment will usually last approximately three months. When you notice a gradual fading of its effects you should return for your next treatment.
As you continue to receive the anti-wrinkle injection serum treatments, the effects last even longer, up to six to eight months.
Treatment with the anti-wrinkle injection serum can typically be repeated indefinitely.
